There is a long tradition of winter sports in Chamrousse. The first ski runs date back to 1787. In 1968, Chamrousse hosted 6 events of the Grenoble winter Olympic Games. This large ski resort has been able to retain its natural charm. Accessible from Grenoble by two beautiful roads, Chamonix is particularly sought after by those who want a family skiing holiday. With an area of 1300 hectares, Chamonix offers 92 pistes for alpine skiing and 37 trails for those who enjoy Nordic skiing. Your children will be well taken care of in the new “Kid’s park” with equipment specially designed for their size. In the “Sunset Park”, with its mogul fields fitted with handrails, you will be able to practice boardercross and slopestyle. And if, after having spent your whole day on skis, you still are not tired, rendez-vous at the outdoor ice rink open late throughout the winter season.
